Larry Bennett

Larry Bennett is Professor Emeritus of Political Science at DePaul University. His books include The Third City: Chicago and American Urbanism (University of Chicago Press), Neighborhood Politics: Chicago and Sheffield (Routledge), and the co-edited Neoliberal Chicago (University of Illinois Press). In the spring of 2025 the University of Illinois Press will publish his Reclaiming  Modernity: Essays on a Paradoxical Nostalgia. Larry Bennett is Chair of the Board of Directors of North Branch Works, a nonprofit organization advocating for businesses along the Chicago River’s North Branch Corridor.
