Marius Stan

Dr. Marius Stan is an author, scientist, and actor. Marius has published short stories, poetry and essays in Romanian and English. His books “A few days” and “A Living Fire” are available at the Chicago Library. He is currently working on a novel and a second collection of short stories, both in English.

Marius holds a B.S. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Chemistry. Until recently, he was a Senior Scientist and Leader of Intelligent Materials Design in the Applied Materials Division at Argonne National Laboratory and a Senior Fellow at University of Chicago and Northwestern University. Marius has extensively published in the scientific literature (see Google Scholar) and is currently writing a book on human and artificial intelligence. In 2021, he decided to retire from Argonne to dedicate himself to writing.

You might also recognize Marius Stan as Bogdan in the Emmy Award winning TV series Breaking Bad, available on Netflix. He is currently involved in several cinematographic projects.
