During 2002 Dale helped to establish the Hugh Holton Collection at the Newberry Library in memory of the late Chicago writer/ police captain. She hopes one day to have an entire Chicago Mystery Writers Collection there.

She is currently working on a revised LOOP MSTERY WALK for a Chicago anthology to be edited by Eleanor Taylor Bland while continuing work on her memoir of the summer of 1952 when she was in Finland with the American Friends Service Committee.

A freelance writer cum lecturer here and abroad, Dale lives in Chicago in the house where she grew up.
