Mark Larson
Mark Larson is the author of Ensemble: An Oral History of Chicago Theater, for which he conducted more than 300 interviews with past and present Chicago theater artists. His most recent book, Working in the 21st Century, was released to mark the 50th anniversary of Studs Terkel’s classic Working. Esquire named it one of the “Best Non-Fiction Books of 2024.”
He is currently at work on Something That Is True, a book-length interview with Broadway composer John Kander, whose iconic works include Cabaret, Chicago, The Scottsboro Boys, and New York, New York.
